GALLERY.HTML is a collaboration between Montana Gulbrand and Sam Malabre that engages with the experience of the young up-and-coming artist. It addresses the struggle for success in the contemporary art world and attempts to assist these processes. It’s goal is to kickstart the careers of young artists through virtual exhibitions and compensate them with internet exposure. The project engages with the concept of a data-driven economy of content creators. It gives the viewer a glimpse into the future. It re-envisions the traditional gallery space in the post-copyright world and questions the validity of companies like Google and Facebook as self-proclaimed supporters of a free and open internet.
